My Little Corner
This is my tiny corner where I start to stack up my new art works. I have created ton of work arts but never kept for myself any thing. I think this time I should, don’t you think?
My inspiration…
Most of my inspirations are from Psalms. I go to church almost every day, so each time I sit down and have some moments with God, I would have something in my mind that I think I could translate it into a painting or a digital design.
My tools in addition of my graphic skills…
I used to hand drawing with pencils, but now most of the time I use Adobe Photoshop, that I have used it since 1994, not every single day, but at least twice a week when I am not busy with my primary job ( as a Programmer Analyst Senior Professional.) Sometimes I walk around with my Canon EOS D60 to capture some magic moments that I can’t quickly capture it by hand…Photography is another hobby of mine too.
While digging my pc for some personal photos, I found a couple of my digital arts I did last couple years for a community group in Raleigh NC. I thought it would still be good enough to share. Here they are…
This piece on the left was the one I created for a Vietnamese new year magazine with a theme about an old city names Hue. To complete this piece, I had to do some research about the culture, literature, sculptures, and many many things related to this old Vietnamese city to have a deep understanding about it, at the same time collecting all photos or images representing them. The piece on the right: a very old music sheet that I used Sibelius, a music software to re-write it then saved to GIF, then I used Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 to make it into an old burnt sheet music… like an old music sheet you found under a collapsed building…
